OVERVIEW

 “Giving has always been a mark of Christian commitment and discipleship.” Stewardship involves the proper use of all our resources, time, talent, and finances in all aspects of our lives. We do this to “reflect a faithful response to God’s self-giving in Jesus Christ and Christ’s call to minister and to share with others in the world.”

The Stewardship Ministry was formed in 2009 to address year-round stewardship at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church, to inform the congregation of financial needs, and oversee the receiving of annual commitments.

The Stewardship Ministry plans and coordinates formal stewardship programs for individuals and our church and encourages stewardship in the family and home. We educate members about faithful giving, promote involvement through time, talent, finances and gratitude for all God has given us. We also provide time and talent information to our Ministries.

Our activities are centered on our Christian, Biblically based beliefs. We believe we are guided better by God’s Word when we fellowship with others who share the direction of God's Spirit.
