On April 1, the VIPS will “visit” Lithuania. Our guest speaker, Marilyn Morrison has traveled many times to this fascinating country and will “clue” us in on the many facets of the little known area, including the country’s extensive Easter Celebrations.

Why does anyone go to Lithuania? Most of us would be hard pressed to even find the place on the map. After listening to Marilyn extolling the many virtues of Lithuania, its rich history, her favorite things and the religious and colorful Easter traditions, you may want to buy an airplane ticket yourself.

Marilyn’s bringing typically colored eggs and photos of Easter in Lithuania and photos of the children’s homes where she worked during her many visits to the country.

The meeting is a wonderful opportunity to learn something new!

Bring your lunch. VIPS will supply beverages and desserts. And, of course guests are welcome. We encourage you to come and meet our group. We think you will like us. Actually, we know you will like us.

The meeting begins at 11:30, in Lindsay Hall on April 1, 2010. We promise “no jokes.”
