The nonstop rush of raising young ones, paying mortgages, advancing careers, and keeping the family together can consume a couple that’s just starting out. Is it really necessary to be a part of a church family when there’s already so much on your plate?
A growing number of families with young kids are saying "yes" because they are discovering the advantages: friends you can trust, a group that will come find you when calamity strikes and bring relief, an organization that offers direction for your present and future life, a community where you can be accountable for what’s important.
The Young Families at GPC support each other through Friday night potlucks, Adult Education Classes, small groups, and special events. A “Young Family” is loosely defined as a couple with at least one child in the pre-teen years.
While parents at GPC are actively involved in the Children’s Ministry as teachers, shepherds, and workshop rotation leaders, we also take time to work on our own spiritual development. For more information about how to get involved and/or pastoral counseling, call Pastor Norm at 240-750-8848.
