  Scripture and Man's Vision of Heaven and Hell [Room 205]
  Leader:  Elizabeth Holdridge
  Track: Christian Classics
  Continuing from the Spring, using the Bible and the writings of Jonathan Edwards and R.C. Sproul, the class will study the topics of heaven and hell. If you want accurate information on how scripture addresses mankind’s fate, this is your class!  (Class generally meets every Sunday through the year.)

  Track:     Biblical Literacy
 

For those seeking a better understanding of Bible content, the Fall class will focus on the Birth of a New Community: the beginnings of the Christian community, its expansion, and the hurdles it faced.  (Class generally meets every Sunday through the year.)

   
  The Bible as a Whole: Isaiah [Room 205]
  Leaders:  Sue Farrand, Stuart Hayes, and Rob McClelland
  Track:      Biblical Literacy
 

Using the NIV Study Bible to understand the foundation of the Christian faith in the Old Testament, lively and discerning discussions will provide the opportunity to determine personal direction from a study of Isaiah and have a better understanding of the history and foreshadowing of Christ.

The Christian Citizen:  Salt and Light in a Democracy [Room 202]
  Leaders:  Steve Olin and Carolyn  Hayes
  Track:      Contemporary Issues 
  Citing several sources, including "The Great Awakening: Reviving Faith and Politics in a Post-Religious Right America" by Jim Wallis (Sojourners), the class will explore the responsibility of Christians as citizens in the US political system and society. (Class now starts at 9:15 AM).

A Spacious Faith:  Opening the Language of the Creeds to the 21st Century [Room 36]
  Leader: Ann Staal
  Track:    Practical Christianity/Spiritual Formation
  Those seeking a special Bible study opportunity will benefit from studying the ancient church creeds with an emphasis on better articulating and living our personal faith and hope with an eye toward community and inter-faith dialogue.

Making Marriage Work [Room Library]
  Leaders: Rev. Norm Gordon and Carl Byrd
  Track:     Family Matters
  Designed by relationship experts Les and Leslie Parrott, this 4-part DVD series on overcoming the struggles, conflicts, and misconceptions about marriage shows twenty couples sharing their deepest struggles, conflicts and misconceptions about marriage.  The series includes Biblical and practical tips to cultivate a healthy and happy marriage. Kids Praise Team for children ages 5-12 in rooms 30-31.
