Using The Present Word Student Handbook, Summer 2008, the 13 lesson class will focus on the various ways Jesus is portrayed in the New Testament using stories, metaphors, affirmations, titles and word pictures. These responses contributed to the later development of a category of systematic theology known as Christology: the study of the nature, meaning and significance of Jesus Christ.

Maintaining Spiritually Through Life’s Storms

(Class runss June 15th through July 27th)

Doubt can arise even for the mature believer when one wonders why God allows bad things to happen.  Using the NRSV Bible and Brian Jones’ book, Second Guessing God: Hanging On When You Can’t See His Plan, the class will seek insight into God’s purpose for believers in times of trouble and will guide participants in moving forward in their spiritual journeys.
