Youth Ministries

Life as an adolescent can be tough. Cultivating a strong faith as a teenager can be challenging. Following Jesus while you are in middle school and high school isn’t exactly a recipe for popularity or an easy life.

That’s why we are here: To help you grow your faith. We also want to partner with parents in talking about faith and life with their teens.

Youth Group

Sundays at 11:00 a.m., Spencer Hall (on the Lower Level)

If you are in middle school or high school and looking for a place to connect with others your own age, check out the GPC youth group. Things are pretty relaxed, so wear whatever makes you comfortable. We’ll spend time chilling. Then someone will share something from Scripture before we split into small groups.

Middle School Youth Program & High School Youth Program

Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Spencer Hall (on the Lower Level) in person

Wednesdays from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m., via Zoom

Do you want to ask questions? Raise doubts about your faith? Engage Scripture? Or just learn more about what it means to be a Christian? Join us to examine and engage Scripture creatively, and to have a chance to wrestle with your faith.
Zoom information can be requested by clicking the button below and emailing the church office.

Each year, students have an opportunity to participate in our Confirmation Class. It is a time to examine the Christian faith, ask lots of questions, and decide if the whole Christianity thing is for you. This fall, we will again offer a Confirmation Class, so if you’re in the 8th Grade or above and are interested in being confirmed at GPC, contact Carrie for registration and class details.

Every autumn, high school students and middle school students spend time retreating from life as usual by attending their own, separate retreats. Our retreats are a time to connect with one another and with Jesus. In the quiet of nature, we try to practice Sabbath. We find that, by slowing down, we are better able to hear God. Of course, we also make some amazing memories that we’ll never forget!

Service and Mission

We believe that Jesus invites us to join in His mission. He tells us that what we do to the least of these, we have done to Him. By helping others, we encounter Jesus in others and allow them to see Him in us. We invite all students—regardless of whether you are involved in other parts of our ministry or not—to join us in serving our community throughout the year.
